Guillermo "Bill" Vidal (born July 19, 1951)〔()〕〔()〕 is an author, career civil servant,〔Cotton, Anthony ("Denver's mayor-to-be Vidal a career civil servant" ), ''Denver Post'', January 10, 2011, accessed January 19, 2011.〕 and a former mayor of Denver, Colorado. Vidal served as deputy mayor under John Hickenlooper until Hickenlooper resigned his position as mayor in order to serve as the governor of Colorado. Vidal was then sworn in as mayor on January 12, 2011 and served until July 18, 2011 when his successor Michael Hancock was sworn in. The brothers were sent to live at the Sacred Heart Orphanage in Pueblo, Colorado, and reunited with their family four years later. Vidal earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Colorado.
